Orko Extends Zone of Mineralization

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Orko Gold Corporation ("Orko" or the "Company") is pleased to report that it has received assay results from Holes BP05-25 and BP05-26 of its Phase 3 drill program currently underway on its La Preciosa project in Durango, Mexico.

Gary Cope, President of Orko, adds, "We are very happy that the new drilling extends mineralization south of the Transversal Fault into the previously untested Zona Sur. Drilling continues at La Preciosa using two rigs and further assay results will be released as they are received."

Hole BP05-25 is the first hole collared south of the Transversal Fault, an east-west striking, south dipping normal fault, which marks the boundary between the Mina La Preciosa area and Zona Sur. It has successfully proven that significant silver values can be found in veins in Zona Sur. The Abundancia Vein, below the merger of La Gloria/Abundancia, is the key intercept.

Further down the hole is an oblique intercept of the Transversal Vein at 60 degrees to the core perpendicular. In this location, it is anomalous in silver and gold, but not in a high grade shoot.

Two additional veins, one possibly correlating to the Chabelita vein, are found structurally below and thus north of the Transversal Vein.

According to Ben Whiting, P.Geo., principal consulting geologist for Orko, " From our geological interpretation, we were expecting lower silver values in the shallow holes of Zona Sur, as compared to the Mina La Preciosa area, because the Zona Sur holes are testing mineralization higher in the epithermal model. Lower grades in this part of the epithermal model are consistent with what we have traditionally seen on surface sampling and with the Mina La Preciosa drilling to date. Potential is considered excellent in Zona Sur."
