LP. Program Complete: Drilling to Commence on La Preciosa

Orko Gold Corporation ("the Company") is pleased to announce that it has completed the field portion of its Induced Polarization (IP) survey for the La Preciosa silver/gold project. Results from the interpretation are expected in the next few weeks. In addition, the Company is pleased to announce that it has engaged Major Drilling Group International Inc. ("Major Drilling") for its planned 2005 drill program.

Major Drilling will complete a minimum of 5,000 metres of diamond drilling encompassing twelve to fifteen holes on select targets at La Preciosa. Drilling is projected to start in mid March 2005.

La Preciosa is a joint venture with Wheaton River Minerals and the property is located approximately 70 kilometres north-west of Durango, Mexico. La Preciosa is a classic low-sulphidation epithermal system that can be traced over 4.5 kilometres in length with well-defined individual veins exceeding 800 metres in length.

The existing 2.5 kilometres of underground workings at La Preciosa date back prior to the Mexican Revolution. An exploration program initiated in the early 1980's by Luismin SA de CV ("Luismin") acquired in 2003 by Wheaton River, resampled the underground workings and identified high-grade zones over significant thicknesses. Luismin initiated drilling which was prematurely terminated due to falling metal prices.

Gary Cope, President of Orko Gold Corporation, says: "We are very eager to begin the initial drilling phase at La Preciosa. We have just completed an extensive IP program, the results of which will further assist us in pinpointing drill targets especially to the North in previously untested areas. We have seen evidence from previous Luismin

drill holes completed in the 1980's that show the vein increases substantially in width at the first intersection. We believe that further widening will occur at deeper intersections of the veins."
