Phase 3 Exploration Program Underway - Second Drill Added
| ||Vancouver, BC, Orko Gold Corporation, ("Orko" or the "Company"), (OK :TSX-V), is pleased to announce the commencement of a Phase 3 program on La Preciosa, with further work on its Santa Monica property as well. The program includes an additional 10,000 metres of diamond drilling on multiple targets on La Preciosa, and added soil sampling, IP work and initial drilling on Santa Monica. The Company has contracted a 2nd drill from Major Drilling capable of much greater depths. It will be used to penetrate deeper in the already defined ore shoots, identified in the recently completed Phase 2 exploration program. Phase 3 is designed to extend known strike lengths in both directions (north and south) as well as greater depths. It will also test the large IP anomaly located between the veins and the breccia zone as well as the breccia zone itself.|
Gary Cope, President of Orko Gold, says: "Phase 3 is accelerating the exploration to a new level. We feel very strongly that a significant ore body exists on the La Preciosa property. We expect to be able to provide an initial inferred resource as soon as all our assay results are in from the Phase 2 program. And Phase 3 is designed to add to this inferred resource. The system is open both north and south and at depth and we are very pleased with our results to date."
