	January 10, 2005 Commencement of Geophysics on La Preciosa Project
	Mr. Gary Cope, President of ORKO Gold Corporation (TSX-V: OK, "ORKO") is pleased to announce that Orko has contracted S. J. Geophysics Ltd. of Delta, British Columbia to complete an IP Survey on its La Preciosa Property in Durango State, Mexico. Orko holds an option to acquire the La Preciosa property from Wheaton River Minerals ("Wheaton"). Under the terms of the Option Agreement, Orko can earn up to an undivided 75% interest by spending US$1.5 million over 6 years. Wheaton then has a 90 day window to pay Orko US$1.5 million and form a joint venture with Wheaton holding a 60% interest and Orko a 40% interest. The Company's exploration team is very anxious to see the results of the IP Survey, which should give Orko multiple drill targets. Orko anticipates commencing a drill program soon after the IP Survey is completed and evaluated. Orko is currently searching for a suitable drilling contractor.
