Orko Silver's Assays Expand New Zone South of Resource Estimate Area

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Orko Silver Corp. - (TSX.V - OK) is pleased to announce that it has received further results from drilling at its La Preciosa project. The Abundancia Vein in Zona Sur has been extended another 150 metres further south of the previously reported diamond drill hole BP05-28, which contained 5.5m of 532.4 Ag-Eq g/t (see news release dated March 21, 2006).

Hole BP05-32 successfully intersected the Transversal Vein as a strong structure, but between interpreted ore-shoots. The Transversal Vein was previously reported in holes BP05-26 as 1.52 m of 151.2 Ag-Eq g/t (see news release February 8, 2006) and BP05-28 as 2.99 m of 151.4 Ag-Eq g/t (see news release dated March 21, 2006).

As well, a program of 6 holes completed in Zona Oriente, located 800 metres east of and unrelated to the main mineralized system at La Preciosa, returned anomalous but uneconomic results. For a list of complete assay results, please visit:

Gary Cope, President of Orko, adds, "We are tremendously pleased with these results. The results not only provide us with an expansion of the new zone (ore shoot) south of the Transversal Vein, but also with corresponding high grade. We anticipate completing a new resource estimate after all the results are in from our 10,000 metre Phase 3 program. Our Phase 4 program, an additional 10,000 metres, recently began with 2 drill rigs operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."

"We are also very happy to have recently concluded the Option Agreement on the San Juan Property with Silver Standard Resources Inc. and we now have a contiguous land package that exceeds 30,000 hectares. Work will begin shortly on both the San Juan and Santa Monica properties."

Ben Whiting P.Geo., is a Qualified Person and takes responsibility for the technical disclosure in this news release. The samples are prepared in Durango, Mexico by SGS Laboratories and shipped to the SGS laboratory in Toronto, Canada for analysis. The Company maintains a diligent QA/QC program using prepared standards.

Orko Silver's principal project, La Preciosa, located near the city of Durango, Mexico, is an advanced silver and gold project. An independently verified NI-43-101 compliant Initial Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate, announced January 19, 2006, concluded that the property contains an Inferred Resource of 2.72 million tonnes grading 0.463 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) and 227.2 grams of silver per tonne (g/t) for a silver-equivalent grade of 255.0 g/t. Contained metal in the Inferred Resource equals 19.9 million ounces of silver and 40,400 ounces of gold for a silver-equivalent of 22.3 million ounces of silver using a 60 to 1 silver/gold ratio with no provisions for relative anticipated recovery rates. Less than 20% of the initial target has been drilled along strike and only to a depth of 300 metres. The deposit remains open in all directions and to depth.
